CHECKPOINT ALERT: Paso Robles checkpoint 9/5/10 September 4, 2010

Posted by scmla in Checkpoint Alert.

Drivers License” checkpoints are NOT legal. Unfortunately, no one seems to be willing to stand up against the tyranny. And, forget about DUIs & drivers’ licenses, now we know that they’re using these checkpoints to illegally raise revenue via car seizures:

Car seizures at DUI checkpoints prove profitable for cities, raise legal questions

Sobriety (& immigration) checkpoints are currently “legal,” however SCMLA does not support the idea that they are Constitutional, as they are in direct opposition to the 4th Amendment to the Bill of Rights & therefore an unConstitutional law is void at its inception & may be protested at will.

The information below was taken from the KSBY website & we are providing it as a service to you.

Also, if anyone gets video of the illegal checkpoints &/or the illegal car seizures, please let us know, because SCMLA would like to either post the video &/or the report.

When: 9/5/10 between 6p-2a

Paso Robles Police Department is reminding its residents to designate a sober driver this Labor Day weekend.

Officers are enforcing their message with a DUI/CDL checkpoint on Sunday from 6:00 p.m. until 2:00 a.m. in Paso Robles.

Paso Robles Police, along with other law enforcement agencies across the state, received a “Mini-Grant” from the California Office of Traffic Safety to conduct DUI/CDI checkpoints throughout the year.

The location of this weekend’s checkpoint will not be announced, but police said they plan to pull over every driver who passes through.
