PITTSBURGH (AP) — Witnesses are decrying how law enforcement responded to protests during the Group of 20 economic summit in Pittsburgh.

Twenty-three-year-old Nathan Lanzendorfer of Pittsburgh showed off large bruises on his legs and left arm at a news conference Monday.

He says police shot him with beanbags as he was trying to leave an area near the University of Pittsburgh on Friday. Lanzendorfer says he didn’t hear any dispersal orders and was just following other people when he was shot.

Journalist Melissa Hill says she was arrested Friday. She says her camera was damaged and police took her video footage. She says she was held for about six hours and hasn’t been told what charges she faces.

City officials are holding their own news conference later Monday.
